Dr. James Colthurst Founder of The Fenzian™ Treatment System

The Fenzian™ Treatment System is the result of extensive development work by Dr James Colthurst MBBS; BSc; MBA; MFHom; FRCS(Ed) - himself a pioneer of electrical impulse systems in clinical applications. The technological innovation of the Fenzian device combined with clinical versatility and positive patient results demonstrate significant progress in a process of 50 years research and development in this field.

Education:

Dr. James Colthurst was educated at Eton College and studied medicine at St Thomas’s Hospital Medical School (London University); obtaining his medical degree in 1981.

During his six years at medical school, he studied neuroanatomy and anthropology for his BSc 1978. Having been an International Oarsman for Great Britain in 1973 and 1974, he continued rowing, within the constraints of medical studies, and ran the St Thomas’s Hospital Boat Club until he left. He returned to act as a coach for two further years!

He became a Professorial Surgical houseman (St. Thomas’s Hospital) before entering an Accident and Emergency post. Thereafter he became a Registrar in General Surgery and Urological Surgery.

In 1986, he achieved Surgical Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (500 years old in 2005) and became an interventional radiologist at St Thomas’s. He was only the second surgeon to qualify as a Member of the Faculty of Homoeopathy and subsequently became the first UK surgeon to achieve an MBA.
